Students recently traveled to Miami for a 2 night/3 day mission trip. Students cleaned, mulched, painted, and organized tirelessly at 7 different locations during their visit. SCS sophomore Tony Colton was awarded the Community Hero Award from the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was presented with a $50,000 check at the game to donate to any charity he wanted. He chose three charities; the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, All Children's Hospital, and Sarasota Christian School. Tony you are a true hero and we are so incredibly proud of you! Congratulations to the middle school cheerleaders on placing 1st at States & Nationals!
SCS's high school Odyssey of the Mind team came in first place at the State Competition in all three scoring elements in its problem and division and has earned the privilege of competing at the World Competition at the end of May, against teams from about 25 other countries.
SCS is one of only six VPK programs in Sarasota to have earned 5-stars out of over 90+ early childcare providers. Our program was also recently recognized for receiving a kindergarten readiness score of 98 signifying our students' readiness to enter kindergarten!
