PICK UP MEDICATION FROM THE CLINIC BY MAY 30
Please remember to pick up your child(ren)’s prescription/over-the-counter medications in the clinic by Friday, May 30. This is an early dismissal day. All unclaimed medications will be discarded. Have a happy and healthy summer vacation. ~ Linda Stone, School Nurse

LOST & FOUND
Have you lost a lunchbox, sweatshirt, shoes, etc.? Please check the table in the main hallway of the administration building to claim your lost items. Items unclaimed by Thursday, May 29, will be discarded.

LIBRARY REMINDER TO PARENTS
We’ve had a busy year at the library. In addition to weekly library classes for Pre-K through Grade 8, the library has also had three book fairs, two reading programs, and has added 590 new books to the collection.

As we enter the last week of school, we need to think about getting all of the books back to the library. No more books will be checked out this year, unless there is a special need for a final research assignment. I will be sending home a list of books with each Pre-K - 8th grade student as a reminder of what he or she has already checked out. High school students will need to check in the library. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to drop by the library or give me a call at (941) 371-6481, Ext. 237. ~ Elisa Hansen, Librarian

CASH 4 CLASS ~ HELP EARN UP TO $10,000 FOR SCS
Starting August 1, 2008, shop Westfield Sarasota Square and remember to visit the Concierge Desk with your receipts and register them for SCS! Receipts for food and the movies also count. Visit www.westfield.com/sarasota for details. Last year SCS placed 4th and won a $500 gift certificate. Let’s shop our way to the top this year.

A NOTE FROM THE KITCHEN
We would like to thank those parents who delivered lunches to the K-8 students this year. We greatly appreciate Lisa Carlton, Tracey Robertson, Jan Buncik, Diane Hagan, Sharon Nelson, Marilee Anderson, Rosemary Best, Sarah Walsh, and Matthew Flynn. You are such a blessing!

The kitchen will be closed the last week of school so remember to pack a lunch for your child. It has been a pleasure serving your children. Have a great summer! ~ Bonnie Shine & Mary Miller

GENERAL MILLS’ BOXTOPS 4 EDUCATION PROGRAM has earned $575.00 for SCS this school year. Please continue to collect those boxtops over the summer. Each one is worth 10 cents! Please recruit relatives and neighbors to save them for SCS too!

PRE-ORDER POLO SHIRTS FOR 2008/09 SCHOOL YEAR
The B.U.S. is offering parents an opportunity to pre-order polo shirts for next year. Order forms will be going home with students soon. If you don’t get one, extra copies will be available at the B.U.S. Below are the reasons you may want to consider this option:
  • You will be GUARANTEED current prices on polos ($11 for silk screen / $16 for embroidered).
  • Shirts will be ready for your pick-up and payment at Back-to-School Night in August.
  • You will avoid the back to school rush and be GUARANTEED of sizes and colors you need.

This is the easy way to avoid the frenzy when school begins. If you have any questions or need to check sizes, please stop by the B.U.S. any afternoon between 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. for assistance.

This is the last SCS Weekly for the 2007/2008 School Year.
Have a great summer!
