Students are immersed in the seven elements of art: line, shape, color, space, value, form and texture. Lower school students are in the DEFINE stage where they begin to understand art concepts and vocabulary while using an array of art media and materials. Throughout the year, art styles, genres, artists (past and present) and art history will be introduced in all classes.

The 6th – 8th grade experience provides students with the opportunity to REFINE their knowledge and mastery of the elements and principles of art, as they continue to develop a strong and solid foundation. This allows them to master concepts and flourish in their creative development.

During the High school years, we work to SOLIDIFY artistic foundations. Students delve into diverse art techniques, explore different tools, mediums, and Art History. Interdisciplinary challenges provide opportunities that nourish and strengthen the growth of individual abilities, artistic confidence, problem solving, and critical thinking.

The Pre-K through 5th grade music program includes fundamental concepts like rhythm, vocal techniques and both instrumental and vocal music.

Middle school and high school students have the ability to select either band or choir as their music course preference. All music students will take part in the Celebration of Praise in December as well as the Spring Concert.

Drama is offered as both a class and an extra-curricular activity. Student plays in both the fall and spring offer a chance for performance as well as competition.
